Apple blossom commingles with Nashi pear, hints of oyster shell and a distinct tang of sea spray. The palate is well balanced with more depth than the Epee, a crisp bead of acidity with added spiciness towards the persistent finish.\n \n Producer Information\n The Domaine was founded in 2018 and marketed its first vintage from 2018 in August 2019 with a production of 9000 bottles. This project was born of two children of Burgundy, Philippe Abadie and Alvina Pernot : two wine lovers who wanted to create their own wine; a wine reflecting our vision of Burgundian terroir. It is the result of a learning experience over the years, tastings, trying to recreate wines as they love them. They decided to launch their own business, buying for the most part grapes from the family domaine Paul Pernot & Ses Fils and trading grapes from Puligny-Montrachet Village or 1er Cru Les Folatières between other grapes from Friends Vines Grower. For exemple they trade the equivalent of four Barrels of Puligny-Montrachet Village between 2 barrels of Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets. Trade also two barrels of Puligny- Montrachet 1er cru Les Folatières for 1 barrel of Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru. Since 1960, about half of the harvest from the family domaine has been sold to a Burgundian wine merchant. So, Alvina has started to recover a small part of this to use it to make her own wine. “We have selected the parcels we prefer, to offer some wines reflecting the best of the Côte de Beaune terroir. For our first vintage we produced only 11 appellations, in small quantities.†In 2019 were produced 13 appellations and in 2020 there will be 16.
