Sallier de la Tour is an 80 hectare estate in DOC Monreale at the Northwest Coast of Sicily. The estate, surrounded by 500 olive plants and 3 hillside lakes, is certified sustainable and on its eighth generation of family winemaking. The winery is very active in its efforts towards sustainability and their local environment – in everything from labor and economics to soil management.The palate is an explosion of delicate flavors, nice and delightful mouthfeel. Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.\n \n Producer Information\n Tasca d'Almerita is a wine producer with vineyards distributed around Sicily. The company's history dates back to 1830, although it wasn't until the 1950s that proprietor Count Guiseppe Tasca began to focus on quality, rather than bulk production. Today, its wines are exported to four continents. There are five wine estates, as described below, the largest of which is the original one, Tenuta Regaleali. Winemaking processes differ across the properties as grape varieties and terroir vary considerably. Both traditional and contemporary techniques are applied. The company holds several Sicilian certifications for sustainability.
