This wine delivers intense tropical fruit flavors and hints of citrus, along with a brilliant acidity and a balanced crisp mineral finish.\n \n Producer Information\n The Crossings is a wine brand based in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. It is owned by the Yealands Wine Group which produces the Yealands Estate and Crossroads (acquired in 2011) labels. The Crossings makes a small number of wines from typical Marlborough varieties, notably Sauvignon Blanc, along with Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir. The fruit is sourced from three vineyards, all in the cooler Awatere Valley subregion of Marlborough: Medway, Willow Flat and Brackenfield. The Crossings takes its name from the historical crossing point of the Awatere river, which runs through the valley. The three vineyards have different climatic features and soil composition, but they all benefit from the greater diurnal temperature range, overall lower temperatures and drier climate that make the Awatere Valley distinct from other sub-regions of Marlborough.
