Plantation Rum Trinidad is a blend from a selection of 24 casks, made by Andrew Hussell (director of WIRD) and Alexandre Gabriel (Maison Ferrand). Distilled in multi-columns from molasses, the rum was first aged for 11 years in Trinidad, in the TDL cellars. It was then shipped to Charente, where it was racked from its bourbon casks for a further year of maturation in 400-litre Cognac barrels.\n \n The result is an aromatic rum with 525 grams of volatile compounds per hectolitre of pure alcohol, 205 of which are esters. It should be noted that this bottling has not been dosed, and therefore contains no added sugar.
