The company was formally incorporated in 1910, when brothers Paulo, Angelo, Joao, Jose, Cesar, Luis, and Antonio gave entrepreneurial imprint to the business of their father, immigrant Antonio Domenico Salton, who informally vinified, like most Italian immigrants. The brothers began to dedicate themselves to the cultivation of grapes and the elaboration of wines, sparkling wines and vermouth, with the denomination "Paulo Salton & Irmaos", in the center of Bento Gonçalves.
A century later, Salton is recognized as one of the leading Brazilian wineries, a leader in the marketing of national sparkling wines in Brazil.
