Prosecco Extra Dry from Tenute Piccini flows into the glass with a brilliant platinum yellow color. The play of pearls of this Prosecco Spumante presents itself consistently and finely in the glass. This single-varietal Italian wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of acacia, apples, honeysuckle and pomelo in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.\n \n Producer Information\n Tenute Piccini is a Tuscan producer that has a focus on producing a portfolio of Chianti and Chianti Classico. Founded in 1882 with just 7 hectares (17 acres) of land, it has since grown to be one of the largest producers in Chianti. The family now has multiple other stand-alone properties, a majority of which are in Tuscany: Villa al Cortile in Montalcino, Fattoria di Valiano in Chianti, and Tenuta Moraia in Maremma. The newest estate is Regio Cantina in Basilicata in southern Italy. Tenute Piccini has grown to represent around 10 percent of Chianti's entire production and is distributed to more than 70 countries; almost 80 percent of the Piccini family wines are consumed outside of Italy. The Piccini family's most prominent wines are its selection of Chianti DOCG wines including riserva, superiore and classico, as well as a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Sangiovese is the dominant red variety, which is also heavily featured in its IGT selection and its single Brunello di Montalcino estate. A small number of whites are offered with the most notable being Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
