The firm was founded in 1772 in El Puerto de Santa Maria (Cadiz) and Sherry is the product most readily associated with Osborne. The company makes a full range of sherry styles, including the Rare Sherry range of old Solera wines – the oldest solera in the portfolio dates back to 1790. Osborne also have a range of Port wines, includes white, ruby and tawny expressions. In addition to the fortified wines, which make up the majority of the portfolio, Osborne makes a range of still wines from around Spain. This includes a blend of Chardonnay and Palomino under the Vino de la Tierra de Cadíz designation, the Señorío del Cid range consisting of a red from Ribera del Duero and a white from Rueda, and the the Solaz brand in Castilla-La Mancha. Osborne also makes a range of brandies, many of which are aged in Sherry barrels. Osborne is the second-oldest continuously active company in Spain, and remains under majority ownership of the family.
