The Signature Series McLaren Vale Shiraz from Robert Oatley is a soft, fleshy-textured Shiraz displaying blueberries and spice, supple tannins and stylish French oak influence.\n \n Producer Information\n Robert Oatley Vineyards was founded in 2006 by Robert ‘Bob’ Oatley, of Rosemount Estate and a true Australian wine pioneer. Led by Chris Hancock MW and Head Winemaker Larry Cherubino, Robert Oatley wines is located in Mudgee, New South Wales, three hours north-west of Sydney. The vineyards have good levels of rainfall and strong sunshine, with an elevation of 500m+ which makes the difference, resulting in a longer, cooler, ripening period. Oatley, who died aged 87 in 2016, always adopted the simple mantra that `all wines should be a darn good drink’. Truer words have never been spoken.
