This concentrated Pinot is on the richer, fuller end of the spectrum. It's reductive at first, with a dollop of funk that only partially fades with exposure to air, making room for the plush fruit, licorice, violet and oak spice. In the mouth, a heaviness to the fruit, oak and tannins leaves one wishing for some vibrancy and freshness, especially for this variety.
