Both lively and delicious, the nose reveals a delicious variation of juicy tangerine and mango. The second nose opens with aromas of citrus fruits crossed by a noble mineral framework. Nice finish on candied citrus fruits.\n \n Producer Information\n Domaine La Soufrandière (Bret Brothers) is an organic and biodynamic wine estate based in the Pouilly-Vinzelles region of Burgundy's southern Mâconnais region. The domaine is also the base of the well-regarded, minimal intervention producers and négociants, the Bret Brothers (Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume Bret). The property was acquired by local professor of medicine Jules Bret in 1947. Initially with only one hectare (2.5 acres) of vineyard, the estate has grown progressively over the years and now counts just over 11 hectares (27 acres) of Chardonnay with a tiny amount (half a hectare/1.2 acres) of Aligoté. Until 1998, all fruit grown on the estate was sold to the local Cave Coopérative de Vinzelles. However, just prior to the arrival of Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume at the estate (taking over from father Jean-Paul in 2000), the estate fruit began to be produced and sold under the domaine title. Since their takeover, the brothers have converted the estate to organic and biodynamic viticulture and winemaking. The wines are certified biodynamic by Demeter and organic by AB/Eurofeuille (the EU organic certification authority). A number of labels are produced, including Pouilly-Vinzelles, Pouilly-Fuissé, Pouilly-Loché, Mâcon Cruzille, Mâcon Uchizy, Saint-Véran, Viré-Clessé and Bourgogne Aligoté as well as sourcing fruit from nearby Beaujolais.
