The Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, purple-ruby in color with aromas of toffee, dried cranberry, cherry and blue raspberry crumble with hints of coffee. A juicy entry on the mouth delivers plush, fine tannins with a velvety texture. This approachable, medium-bodied cabernet has full, yet silky flavors of of lush milk chocolate and raspberry. A finale of round tannins leads to a dry, smooth finish. \n \n Producer Information \n Banshee Wines is a Californian wine company formed in 2009. The range includes Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River Zinfandel, a Carignan from Mendocino County and the Mordecai red blend. The company initially set out to produce quality Californian Pinot Noir at an affordable price point. Originally operating from a bar in the San Francisco suburb of Dogpatch, the company's first offering was eight barrels of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. In the ensuing years, the company has relocated to Healdsburg in Sonoma County and developed partnerships with various growers in Sonoma. Key vineyards include patches of the western Sonoma Coast for Pinot Noir which benefits from the cooling maritime influence. Outside of the Sonoma Coast, plots like the Alegria Vineyard in the Russian River AVA have proved important for varieties like Zinfandel and Dolcetto and collaborations with vineyards in the Anderson Valley have provided varieties such as Syrah and Viognier. In 2013, the Banshee Wines tasting room was opened in Healdsburg providing customers the opportunity to taste the full range.
