Chateau Grand Jean Bordeaux Superieur 2018 is a red wine from Bordeaux, France. It's made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and 5% Malbec. The wine is deep red with purple hues and has a fruity and spiced aroma. It's also structured and balanced.\n Jean-Philippe Janoueix Domaines is a Bordeaux producer with a collection of châteaux based in the Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion and Grand Cru appellations of Saint-Émilion, as well as Pomerol and Bordeaux Supérieur. Founder Jean-Philippe Janoueix comes from the revered Bordeaux winemaking dynasty. The family business was created in 1898 by Joseph Janoueix, with Jean-Philippe Janoueix establishing his own branch of the business in 1994. Today, he has accumulated a wine portfolio including Château Haut-Pontet and Château La Confession (Saint-Émilion), Château Croix-Mouton (AOC Bordeaux Supérieur), as well as Château La Croix Saint-Georges and Château Sacre Coeur (Pomerol). The 4 hectare (10 acre) vineyard parcel at La Croix Saint-Georges is planted predominantly to Merlot (91-percent), with the rest dedicated to Cabernet Franc (9-percent). These vines average 38 years old and are planted in Pomerol's triangular section of ancient sands. These sandy soils are also home to several more of the domaine's vineyard plots, including its La Croix-Toulifaut cru. One of Jean-Philippe Janoueix's most recent acquisitions is Château Cap Saint-George (previously known as Château Cap d'Or) in Saint-Émilion. The Château Cap Saint-George is a Merlot-predominant red wine, with Cabernet Franc making up the remainder of the blend. Grapes are harvested by hand and the wine aged in 50-percent new oak, producing approximately 60,000 to 70,000 bottles per annum.
