The palate is an explosion of delicate flavors, nice and delightful mouthfeel. Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.\n \n Producer Information\n Domaine Pierre Labet is a Burgundy wine producer based in the Côte de Nuits commune of Vougeot but with vineyard holdings across the Côte de Beaune region further south. The domaine produces a range of wines from regional cuvées to premier cru wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Winemaker François Labet has been responsible for Domaine Pierre Labet's wines since 1984 and vinifies the estate's wines at his recognized estate, Chateau de la Tour – a top producer of Clos Vougeot Grand Cru located within the walled vineyard itself. Domaine Pierre Labet's top wines are produced with fruit from the Premier Cru sites Savigny-les-Beaune Les Vergelesses and Beaune Aux Coucherias. All the estate's vineyards are cultivated organically with vines trained and pruned the same way as François Labet's Grand Cru plots at Clos Vougeot. The wines, from Bourgogne Blanc and Rouge Vieilles Vignes wines, to Beaune, Meursault Les Tillets and Marsannay wines, are vinified and aged at Chateau de la Tour, located within Clos Vougeot itself. As with farming, the wines of Domaine Pierre Labet are produced with the same winemaking techniques as Labet's grand cru labels. Red grapes are sorted and whole-bunch fermented without post-fermentation maceration. The Pinot Noir wines age in lightly-toasted oak barrels that have been constructed from a mix of staves from various French forests and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
