From the precious one-hectare vineyard in the Monforte d'Alba area. Vigna Colonnello represents the marriage of the two souls of Barolo and celebrates the meeting of two choice terroirs. A wine with velvety tannins and capable of expressing the finesse and elegance derived from the Tortorian soil and the structure and power originating from the Serravallian soil.\n\nOn arrival at the winery, the grapes were crushed and only 65% destemmed. Maceration took place in stainless steel tanks and lasted approximately 7 days at a maximum temperature of 30 °C. Malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. Maturation took place in French oak barrels of different capacities for 18 months and in stainless steel for 24 months. The wine aged 24 months in bottle before release.\n\nThe Vigna Colonnello has a red colour with ruby-orange highlights. On the nose, pleasant hints of rose petals, raspberry and pomegranate combine with spicy and balsamic notes. The palate is intense, with sweet, enveloping tannins and a long, consistent aftertaste.
