The 2016 Syrah Jaspis is intense, ripe and fresh on the nose, lovely aromatic and pure, with flinty, chalky and peppery notes. The palate is fleshy, intense and velvety textured, with fine tannins and good concentration, fruit and grip. Ripe and mealy tannins. A pure and fleshy character. Good length and ripe black fruit flavors.\n \n Producer Information\n \n Hanspeter - first a trained carpenter, then a winemaker - founded the winery in 1991 and then led it with Edeltraud to its current size of 21 hectares. A perfect combo, because we both love wines that appeal to us with their individuality, but are also a pleasure to drink. Our children Ida and Johann are now actively supporting us in the company and at events - and of course we hope that one day they will follow in our footsteps. And since we can't do everything ourselves, there are also a large number of helpers who give us a helping hand.
