The Winery was established in 1995 when the Haruni family from England came to settle in Israel. Initially the winery was situated in makeshift premises in Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra and produced some 20,000 bottles, but now it occupies its own home overlooking the Hula Valley and currently makes about 800,000 bottles annually. Steadily they grew to become of the big wineries in Israel. Dalton Winery is famous in Israel as a winery that produced wine on all levels of class. Lately they have started using grapes exclusively from their own vineyards, allowing them the privilege of selecting and choosing grapes according to the level of wine. Dalton Winery is also known for using out-of-the ordinary varietals of grapes not seen much in Israel eg. Zinfandel, Petite Syrah, Semillon. In 2013 the first Pinot Gris was harvested in Israel by Dalton Winery.
