Dark chocolate and bright red fruit aromas, with hints of tobacco. The mid-palate has a rich texture, very well balanced with notes of dark cherry and licorice flavors on the mouth, with velvety tannins and a lingering finish. \n \n Producer Information\n \n Terlato Vineyards is the family wine brand of international beverage company Terlato Wines. The brand makes wines from a range of popular California varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, as well as in a number of Italian appellations. The Terlato Wines group traces its history back to the 1950s when Tony Terlato began working at the Pacific Wine Company. The family now makes a number of brands as well as importing and distributing wines internationally. The flagship Terlato Vineyards brand was established in 2005. Grapes come from vineyards across Sonoma and Napa counties, including from Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley, Rutherford and Stags Leap District. However, most of the wines carry either Russian River Valley or Napa Valley designations. Terlato Vineyards also makes several premium Bordeaux-style blends – the Peaks Series wines Angel's Peak, Devil's Peak and Cardinal's Peak are made to reflect the wines of Pomerol, Saint-Émilion and Margaux respectively. The Italian wines come from Colli Orientali del Friuli and are made within the DOC framework of the region.
