Strawberry and raspberry aromas appear, with a light note of orange zest. This rosé is fresh on the palate and has a mineral character. Strawberry and citrus notes are bright alongside nice acidity. The finish is short and clean.\n Producer Information\n Viña Los Vascos is a Chilean winery that has been owned and operated by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1988. The estate is located in the Colchagua Valley with a 640 hectare (1581 acre) vineyard, one of the largest in central Colchagua. Here, the soil is of volcanic origin with an ideal clay portion for viticulture. It sits at an average of 425 feet (130 meter) above sea level and 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the Pacific Ocean. This creates an favourable microclimate with strong sun exposure and little risk of frost. The grape varieties planted at the estate include Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Syrah, Malbec, and Chardonnay. Vines range from 15-70 years old, the oldest of which produce low yields with higher concentrations of phenolics and flavor compounds. The flagship of the Viña Los Vascos wine portfolio is the Le Dix de los Vascos. Produced in commemoration of ten years of Domaines Barons de Rothschild, it is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend with small portions of Syrah and Carmenè. It spends 18 months barrel-aging in the cellar prior to bottling. Other notable wines include the Cromas Carmenere Gran Reserva and the Cromas Gran Reserva produced from Cabernet Sauvignon. The white collections features Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc sourced from vineyards within the Casablanca Valley The bodega's cellar includes 800 barrels, some of which come from Domaines Barons de Rothschild's cooperage in Bordeaux, and has a total case production of 450,000.
