Red berry and spice aromas make up the bouquet on this limited-production wine. Herbal flavors of olive and berry finish oaky, blackened and minty.\n \n Producer Information\n Emiliana Organic Vineyards is a Chilean wine company in the Casablanca Valley, northwest of Santiago. It is the world's largest organic winery and is one of the leading producers of certified organic and biodynamic wines globally. The wine portfolio includes a large range of wines from classic Chilean grape varieties, including Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The company has vineyards all over the country, covering nearly 1200 hectares (3000 acres) of land in such famous wine regions as Colchagua, Maipo, and the Casablanca Valley. The signature wine is Coyam, from the Los Robles Estate in the Colchagua Valley. This is a six-grape blend based on Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 13 months in French and American oak barrels. Gê, another top offering, is a biodynamic blend of Carmenère, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the same estate, and aged in French oak for 16 months. Emiliana makes a wide range of other labels, including Signos de Origen, a range of single-vineyard varietal wines, and Novas Gran Reserva, a range with less oak aging and for earlier consumption. The Adobe Reserva range is Emiliana's entry-level range. In the vineyard, chickens are used for pest control, and alpacas and horses live alongside the vines to encourage biodiversity. There are also nurseries and biological corridors of native plants and trees, and cover crops of grasses and flowers between the vine rows. Across all vineyard and winery processes, various projects in energy efficiency, carbon emission reduction and waste management are employed, and environmentally friendly packaging is used.
