Fruity, floral, slightly herbaceous, with green apple and pear notes. Fresh and mild at the same time, with good persistence.\n \n Producer Information\n Cinzano is an Italian sparkling wine producer known the world over for its vermouth. The company was founded by Giovanni and Carlo Cinzano, who in 1757 began producing and selling aromatized wines from their shop in Turin. The brothers later added sparkling wines to their portfolio in 1840 and over 100 years later, in 1999, the established brand was purchased by Gruppo Campari (Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A.). Today, Cinzano's portfolio includes the classic Cinzano Bianco, Rosso and Extra Dry vermouths, as well as three regularly produced fruit liqueurs: Orancio, Rosé, and Limetto. Cinzano also makes a select range of premium vermouths under the 1757 label. These 1757 vermouths were originally created in honor of the company's founders and are released in limited production volumes in 2014. The Cinzano Asti is the flagship of the company's sparkling wine portfolio. This varied range also includes the likes of a Prosecco made from grapes sourced from the area of Colline Trevigiane, a spumante Brut-style wine made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, as well as the recently added spumante rosé made from a blend of Durello, Trebbiano and Garganega. Other sparkling labels include a Brachetto d'Acqui and the flagship Alta Langa Metodo Classico.
