The name of this wine Metiusco derives from the ancient dialect of the central part of Salento called Grico. This dialect derives directly from the ancient Greek language, since the Greek civilization arrived on the Salento coast 3000 years ago. In Grico Metiusco means I get drunk.\n \n Metiusco rosé with its bright cherry color is the symbol of the ancient tradition of rosé winemaking with the 150-year-old bleeding technique called in Italian language “salasso”. The wine is obtained starting from a slightly early harvest around the third week of September, and after the grapes are destemmed and then pressed, they undergo cryomaceration for about 10/30 hours; this procedure allows to extract color and perfumes through the action of the cold. 30% of the must is separated by gravity and then subjected to fermentation in stainless steel.\n \n WSeThe color of Metiusco Rosato is cherry pink, bright and clear. On the nose the notes are very intense, black cherry, cherry and strawberry, along with hints of citrus and then floral. In the mouth it is soft, of great balance, thanks to the acidity that dampens the alcohol degree. Fruity and bitter on the finish
