The winery produces a range of labels, predominantly red, and based on the local mainstay, Monastrell. The winery was established in 2011 by husband-and-wife team Santos Ortiz and Ioana Paunescu. The operation boasts 35 hectares (86 acres) of vineyard, predominantly planted to Monastrell although the vineyards (and wines) also contain the likes of Petit Verdot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as Moscatel De Alejandría and Chardonnay. A number of labels are produced by the winery, including the flagship Goru 18 M (18 months) cuvée – a blend of predominantly old-vine Monastrell with Syrah and Petit Verdot. Most of the other labels are Monastrell-dominant blends including the Infinito, El Goru 38 Barrels/Barricas, El Goru Gold/Oro, Fuerza, Acuma, El Goru, Don Baffo, Marionette and Talente labels. Other red wines include the Goru Monastrell (made with a minor percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon), the Goru Verde (or Goru Organic) made from 100 percent organic Monastrell – as is the Talento Ecológico label. White wines are predominantly covered by blends of Chardonany and Moscatel De Alejandría (Goru El Blanco and Don Baffo blanco) while the EBSB is made from 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc. The Goru Rosado is predominantly produced from Garnacha.
