Delicious pink fizz produced in the Prosecco area. Because legally only white fizz (100% Glera grape) can be called Prosecco we have to call this wine Spumante (generic term for sparkling). It is delicate, floral, fruity and fun, and pink Prosecco in all but name!
As mentioned above, only fizz from 100% Glera grape can be called Prosecco. Obviously, the rose has to get its colour from somewhere, so this wine is produced from the red Raboso and Merlot grapes. The pressed juice has a very short skin contact time to extract a small amount of colour, the wine is then fermented off the skins like a white. Second fermentation is carried out in the Charmat method as for white Prosecco. As a Brut style, the wine is dry and fresh and deliciously elegant.
