Casaloste is a first - generation owned by Giovanni and Emilia d’Orsi. The estate extends for 18 hectares of which 10.5 are dedicated to the vineyards. Altitude is of about 360 metres on the sea level Giovanni is an agronomist and oenologist, who oversees all winemaking personally, from harvest to bottling (on-site), assisted by his wife Emilia who is managing along side the marketing activities. Since its beginning - harvest 1993 - Casaloste has been committed to sustainable projects , at first adopting organic farming - EU certification dates back to 1994 - and then more recently settling solar panels for energy savings Casaloste wine philosophy is focused on the entrepreneurial project aiming at the excellence of its wines Production is based only on red wines, both Chianti Classico DOCG, and IGT.
